News Release
ACER INC.
Acer and ypcall participating in 2011 Taipei World
Design Expo
Taipei, 28 Oct 2011: Acer Inc
and ypcall today announced that the first
scenario-driven marketing implementation, by using Acer private cloud solution
hosted in Acer Cloud Competency Center (ACCC), is operating in booth A04 at
2011 Taipei World Design Expo on the fourth floor in Nangang Exhibition Hall.
“When a customer lifts up a designer’s masterpiece,
the sensor under the sensor point will swiftly detect and trigger Acer private
cloud solution pushing the marketing video to the display screen near the
designer’s artwork. The customer can then instantly learn about the
specification and related information about the artwork and the merchant,”
said Steven Hsu, General Manager of ypcall.
“Scenario-driven marketing is customer-centric and action-triggered, so
cloud computing is best fit for this type of deployment. New video and audio
pushed from Acer private cloud solution takes less than one seconds
after the artwork has been raised.”
“Ever since the debut of our ACCC on August 26 2011,
Acer has been working with Independent Software Venders (ISVs) and Application
Software Providers (ASPs) in deploying cloud computing solution. This
ground-breaking scenario-driven feat showcases
Acer’s relentless endeavor in cloud
computing solution,”
said Evis Lin, General Manager of Acer Enterprise Product
Business Unit. “Currently, the content delivered to booth A04 and
DAAI on-line shopping is all from ACCC.”
Acer’s flagship servers and storage constitute one
of the most agile infrastructure in cloud computing. Further
leveraging Acer eDC Cloud Smart
Portal, cloud solutions provided by Acer provision
the most reliable Quality-of-Service (QoS) to end users.
“Acer eDC Cloud Smart Portal allows automatic
Virtual Machine scale-up and scale-out for multi-tenancy,”
said Rex Wu, Vice President of Acer eDC. “As scenario-driven marketing deployment burgeons, the
rapid elastic nature of cloud solutions provided by Acer will ride with the trend.”
